Council met. Present as yesterday.
Ordered That Copies of the Letter received from the President of the Congress, of the 8th Inst. be sent to the several Committees of Observation in each County and District in this Province respectively. Ordered that warrants issue agreeable to the Recommendation of the Committee of Observation for Harford County, to the following persons to command the Rifle Company to be raised there, to wit,Alexander Lawson Smith, Capt
James White Hall 1 Lt

Josias Hall 3 LtOrdered That the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to Captain Smith 300 Dollars, to the first & second Lieutenant, 200 Dollars each, and to the Ensign One hundred and Sixty Dollars to be advanced as a Bounty to the said Company. Ordered That the said Treasurer pay Capt John Allen Thomas fifty pounds Continental Currency to defray the Expences of his march to Philadelphia. Ordered that the paymaster advance to Capt Thomas's Company half a month's Pay.
Copy of Letter N° 32 was sent to the Deputies of this Province in Congress.
Adjourned till o'Clock and met accordingly.
