One Hundred and Ten Dollars Reward. DESERTED from Capt. Alexander Lawson Smith Company in the rifle battalion commanded by Col. Rawlings, the eleven following men -Patrick Campbell, deserted 21st October, 28 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, brown hair, much pitted with the smallpox, stoops in his shoulders, had on a brown coat, spotted waistcoat, and leather breeches.
Adam Shipley Chaney, deserted Nov. 12, 18 years of age, 5 feet ten inches high, brown complexion, light coloured hair, bow legs, has a forward pert look, had on a brown coat, red waistcoat, and light cloth breeches.
Benjamin McGarvin, deserted 27 Nov. 28 years of age, 6 feet one inch high, remarkable brown complexion black hair, pitted with the small pox, had on a light colored homespun jacket with sleeves, striped linsey waistcoat, brown cloth trowsers, much addicted to drink, and when drunk very talkative and insolent.
Abraham Watson, deserted 27 Nov. 25 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high fair complexion, brown hair, stoops in his shoulders, had on a sky blue cloth coat, green jacket and breeches.
Joseph Morton, deserted 28 Nov. 40 years of age, 5 feet high, brown complexion, black curled hair, has a forward look, and much given to drink, and very insolent when drunk, had on a light colored wilton coat, light colored jacket, blue velvet breeches; he is well known in and about Chester, and its probable is gone to house keeping as his wife was with him
Daniel Linch, an Irishman, deserted 5 Dec. 38 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, much pitted with the small pox, wears a brown wig rather small for him, a shoemaker, had on a blanket great coat dyed black, a light colored close bodied coat, light colored jacket and leggings.
George Laird, deserted 12 Dec. 22 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, brown complexion, light hair, had on a blue coat faced with red, light colored jacket and breeches.
James Riley, 22 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, short dark hair, has a down look, his left eye much larger than his right, had on a light colored wilton coat and jacket, country cloth breeches with blue worsted knee bands.
Sylvester Fitzpatrick, 28 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, short black hair, much pitted with the small pox; had on a hunting shirt and an old light colored coat. Reily and Fitzpatrick deserted together Dec. 17, and took with them their knapsacks, blankets, canteens and rifles.
Richard Barnes, 18 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, had on a light colored cloth coat and jacket trimmed with yellow buttons, buckskin breeches, and a small round hat.
John Rigden, 19 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high brown complexion, light colored hair, had on a light colored regimental coat with a red cape, blue jacket and leather breeches. Barnes and Rigden deserted together Dec. 9.
The above men were all enlisted in Hartford county Maryland, and are supposed to have gone that way: Whoever apprehends and secures them in any jail, shall receive Ten Dollars reward for each, and reasonable charges if brought to the Camp.
